OSHA’s publication, Protecting Workers: Guidance on Mitigating and Preventing the Spread of COVID-19 in the Workplace, is a guiding document supplying prevention/mitigation strategies and recommendations for managing the risk of COVID-19. As the title implies, this guide offers resources that support workers’ safety and will be updated. It is important to understand it contains guidelines and required (therefore, legally mandatory) OSHA standards for compliance.
Some pertinent OSHA standards to consider are:
- Recordkeeping and Reporting of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Hazard Communication
